Universal Design Initiatives
for Hotel In‑Bath Amenities

We actively promote universal design that is accessible to all users. As one example, we are implementing various initiatives so that guests staying at hotels and other hotels & accommodation facilities can enjoy a comfortable, convenient stay.

Tactile Identification of Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Soap Containers

To enable identification by touch alone, three different types of tactile markings are applied to bottles and pumps.While this is standard for household products, it has not yet been widely adopted for products for professional use. We are addressing this with a focus on ease of use for everyone.

We design pictograms that are easy to understand at a glance and print them on bottles or provide them as labels.

Reducing Workload with Simple, Reliable Operations

In recent years, the workforce has become increasingly diverse, including part-time workers, foreign employees, and seniors. To help everyone work with confidence, we offer solutions that support a diverse workforce—for example, creating illustrated operation manuals and reducing mistakes during refilling by color-coding labels so the users can easily match detergent products with the correct refill containers.

Reducing Plastic Use by Lightweighting Bottles and Switching to Pouches

We are reducing plastic use by lightweighting our 4.5 L bottles (using thinner walls) and switching to pouch packaging.
For pouch products, we have adopted AIR HOLD POUCH™ packaging to improve usability.
